A Dog’s Journey

A Dog's Journey by W. Bruce Cameron

I have a dog my whole life so I can relate to this story. The story is not just from the human characters’ point of view, it is also from the dogs’. This story tells about how a dog believes that its purpose is to take care of its owner throughout her entire life. Dog is reborn – same soul in different body, fate brings them together again. I like how the story ends, with the owner getting to meet her loved ones and her dog in heaven. Which is what I really envision it to be in life.

Lots of funny moments in this book, especially when the dog is ‘talking’ or ‘thinking’ to itself.

A well-written book except for one or two minor mistakes I found along the way. Definitely worth picking this book up. This book will get you thinking, do we really take care of our pets, or do they take care of us?

A Dog's Journey‘Did you bawl at the end of Marley and Me? Well, before you settle in to read W. Bruce Cameron’s new book, A Dog’s Purpose: A Novel for Humans, you might want to make a major Kleenex run… Yes, you will cry – but you will laugh out loud, too’ – Cesar’s Way magazine (Cesar Millan, The Dog Whisperer)
