Overdress Or Underdress

The clothes we wear says a lot about us. It represents you; your personality and your style.

Clothes is one of the way we can express ourselves. Like it or not, we subconsciously dress up to impress others. We are sending a message to people with the way we dress.

I’d rather be overdressed than to be underdressed. Being underdress makes me feel uncomfortable and unconfident about myself.

I’m not a jeans person. I used to own a pair of jeans but now I don’t. My wardrobe is filled with dressy/casual shorts, skirts, dresses, blouses, etc. I usually prefer wearing a dress. It’s easier because I don’t have to think of what to wear for the bottom and it can look casual and elegant at the same time. :)

I would like to think that our body is like a plain canvas and clothes are the paints that add colours and dimension. We are a walking form of art.

Here’s my little imaginary wardrobe. Feel free to take a look!

The New iOS 7

Just recently, I’ve seen a few of my apps update that mentioned about iOS 7. So what is this iOS 7 all about? I wondered.

Is this new iOS going to be something clean, simple and minimal? I think it should be, since Mac is all about simplicity. Right?

Right away, I went to Settings – General – Software Update. Read about the new updates and went on to install. The update of iOS 7 took me about an hour or so. It’s worth it, I thought to myself.

So before you decide to install iOS 7, do whatever you need to do on your phone. Reply all your messages and so on and so forth…

Presto! Phone is updated to iOS 7.

Of course it has its pros and cons. I’m no expert on this, just a passionate iPhone user that’s all.

What I like about the new iOS 7

– smaller and refined typeface

– new ringtones, alarms, alerts and system sounds (finally! yay…)

– new wallpapers (not that I use but it’s high time they have new ones too)

– subtle motion and animation; layers and translucency provide depth

– swipe through different camera modes – video, still photo, square aspect, and panorama

– real-time photo filters with iPhone 4S or later, and iPod touch (5th generation)

– blocking of unwanted Phone, Messages and FaceTime callers

iOS 7 Likes

What I dislike about the new iOS 7

– bigger font size

– big icons (it seems bigger or is it just me?)

– icons are a little too bold and colourful

iOS 7 Dislikes

My little conclusion

I don’t really like this new update because of its icons. But… I will learn to love it, since it has new tones and more refined typeface. Sooner or later, I will have to get used to it anyway!

It’s a little complicated, time to learn some new stuffs.

Two hours later

I am starting to like it more than before! :)

Thank You

As cliché as it may sound, I would like to say a big ‘thank you‘ to those who invented the Internet and Wi-Fi connection.

Just recently, my Wi-Fi modem decided to break down on us late at night. Panic went around in the house. What are we to do without the Wi-Fi connection? Yes, we can still access Internet on our phone using 3G but ultimately we still need Wi-Fi so we can surf from our laptops.

Called up the company right away. Technician came down next day but identified that it was due to something else that he can’t fix. A constant “oh no…” is what I could hear in my head then.

With no access to the internet, what can I do? I have decided to do some crafts. Some cutting and stamping the whole afternoon. It was a miracle I survived.

After some drama, Wi-Fi connection is back! It was like a ‘we have hope’ moment…

We tend to take things for granted until we lose it. Internet connection becomes a everyday thing that you expect it to be there. But when it’s not working, the sky comes crashing down…

I have realised that besides the Internet, I can ‘survive’ the day by doing other stuffs, such as crafts. Crafting makes me feel inspired and relax!
